Who they are.
The TAG Movement grew out of Jonathan Haidt’s bestselling book The Anxious Generation into a global effort to put tech in its place so kids can flourish. Co-founded by Haidt and CEO Alexa Arnold, it works alongside the Tech and Society Lab at NYU Stern to turn research into practical solutions.
TAG advances four norms: no smartphones before high school, no social media before 16, phone-free schools, and more independence, free play, and responsibility in the real world. It pursues them through policy, culture, and everyday behavior, from phone-free school policies and social media legislation to books, documentaries, and tools for parents and educators.
